Key Hearing Conservation Program Requirements in Nevada

The requirements indicated below are key components of an effective hearing conservation program. Quite often, these are not all met.

The following checklist is designed to assist you in reviewing your program. In the event that any of these requirements have been overlooked, we encourage you to call our office at 907-360-2335. Nevada Occupational Audiology & Health Services would be happy to provide you with additional information and assistance in meeting these requirements.

  • NOISE LEVEL MONITORING AND/OR UPDATES
  • HEARING TESTING: PRE-PLACEMENT, ANNUAL, AND MAKE-UP/ RETESTING
  • ANNUAL EMPLOYEE TRAINING
  • PROVISION OF SUITABLE HEARING PROTECTION DEVICES
  • INDIVIDUAL FITTING OF HEARING PROTECTION
  • REFITTING/RETRAINING OF EMPLOYEES WITH CONFIRMED STS's AND RECORDKEEPING / RECORDABILITY ASSISTANCE FOR MSHA REPORTABILITY
  • REASONABLE ACCOMODATION FOR EMPLOYEES WITH HEARING LOSS
